The June 2020 Trust/NAU Leadership Academy was canceled due to the current stay-at-home orders and travel restrictions. In lieu of the in-person event, the Trust and NAU are hosting a one-day, interactive, web-based academy.
The virtual Trust/NAU Leadership Academy will take place on Wednesday, June 10 from 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Participants will learn about school-related legal risks from NAU faculty and Arizona’s foremost education attorneys. Participants will also be able to discuss these issues with peers from around the state (virtually rather than in-person). The day will begin in a standard webinar setting, and then—similar to the in-person Academy—small group discussions will occur, allowing participants to work through the real-life leadership issues and legal response.
To register for the Academy, click here (registration is limited). More information will be shared with registrants as the Academy approaches.
Please note: If multiple administrators from your district are interested in attending, we encourage district staff to attend the virtual Academy together—perhaps in a large conference room to maintain adequate social distancing—to discuss scenarios that are presented.
